Fall Ball
Cedar Mill Little League parents and players,
As the Spring baseball season comes to an end, you may want to start thinking about Fall baseball.
CMLL offers Fall baseball for all players who meet the following three criteria:
-
1. Are league-ages 9 through 12 as of April 30, 2013
(meaning your child will be age 9 through 12 as of April 30, 2013).
2. Played baseball at the Majors, AAA or AA level in the Spring of 2012.
3. Live within the CMLL boundaries. Check the boundaries by clicking here.
- • Majors level is for all returning Spring 2011 Majors players and players who will be league age 11 or 12
(Fall baseball league age = age as of April 30, 2013). - • AAA level is for returning Spring 2011 AAA and AA players who will be league age 9 or 10
(Fall baseball league age = age as of April 30, 2013).
CMLL reserves the right to assign players to an appropriate level based upon skill.

Click on a Question below and you will see the Answer.
Q: My son/daughter will be league age 10 on April 30, 2013 nd played AAA division last year. Can they play in the majors level during Fall baseball?
A: Normally, players who are league age 10 on April 30, 2013 should play in the AAA division. If you feel your 10 year-old player is skilled enough for the Majors level, please contact the player agent directly at pa@cmllonline.org.
Q: Can my child play both fall ball and fall soccer?
A: In the past, many families have been able to balance Fall baseball and soccer, but the decision is up to you and your family. CMLL does not have control over game times so it will be hard to avoid conflicts from time to time.
Q: How often does a fall ball team practice? What time of day? Where?
A: Practices are targeted at one weekday per week, sometimes later in the evening. Other practices can be scheduled as determined by the manager. Practice locations are targeted at fields within the Cedar mill boundaries.
Q: How often does a fall ball team play a game? What day and what time? Where?
A: Fall baseball is usually two games per weekend. This can be Friday evening, Saturday, and/or Sunday. Sometimes two games can be scheduled on the same day. Games can be local (Sunset Park) or require travel within the greater Portland area.
Q: Can I help coach a fall ball team?
A: Absolutely. To volunteer as an assistant or coach, you need to do two things. First, after registration opens on July 2, 2012, fill out a volunteer form online at www.cmllonline.org. Second, download a volunteer application and background check form from our Forms page and email it to safety@cmllonline.org. You will not be allowed to be on the field with the players unless you complete both of these forms.
Q: What age players are on fall ball teams?
A: Players play on a team as determined by their age as of April 30, 2013 (their league age). Players that will be 11 or 12 are normally in the Majors division. Players that will be 9 or 10 are normally in the AAA Division.
Q: How many teams play in Fall baseball?
A: It depends on interest level. Last year CMLL fielded two AAA teams and two Majors teams. These teams then played teams from other districts.
Q: What other teams do we play?
A: CMLL Fall baseball teams play other District 4 teams like Tigard, Lake Oswego, St Helens, Forest Grove, Raleigh Hills, SW Portland, etc. These games require travel within the greater Portland area.
Q How much does Fall Baseball cost?
Q: If I register and then decide not to play, can I get a refund?
