Majors Baseball

For players born between May 1, 2005 and August 31, 2008. CMLL encourages all 11 and 12 year olds, and any 10 year olds up to the challenge, to play at this level. All players must be evaluated prior to rosters being formed via a draft.  This is the most competitive level of Little League baseball and players will be expected to make this team their top priority during the spring. Due to the rosters being formed through a draft, the players should not expect to play on a team with all of their buddies. But they will have fun playing with…and against...some of them. Not all players who register for Majors are guaranteed to make a Majors team. Teams will be expected to play and/or practice 4-5 times per week.

2018 Registration Fees $250

Important Dates:

2/25/18: Player Evaluations at Indoor Goals

2/27/18: Majors Draft (for coaches only)

3/12/18:  Practices begin

4/7/18: First Majors Game

4/14/18: CMLL Opening Day!

TBD: Championship Game for Majors Playoffs

Post Season Note: At the end of the regular season, CMLL will field three All Star teams to compete in the District 4 tournaments at the 8-10, 9-11, and Majors (10-12) levels. The winners of these three tournaments advance to the respective state tournaments.  For the 8-10 and 9-11 teams, State is the end, but the winner of the State Majors tournament advances to Regionals and eventually to the Little League World Series.  The majority of the players for the three All Star teams come from the Majors divisions with a few coming from AAA.  District 4 also offers honors tournaments at the 8-10 and 11-12 levels so that players who do not make an All Star team or cannot commit to the timeframe can also experience post season play.  Again, these players will come from the Majors and AAA divisions.

Post season participation is a unique opportunity for our players, and the expectation is that the tournaments and the practices leading up to the tournaments take priority over other activities, including sports camps, other sports, and vacations. The exact schedule will not be set for some time, but here is last season's schedule as a guideline.  Dates vary from year to year.
