Tee Ball (boys & girls / ages 4-7) - Typically pre-k to 1st Grade
For boys and girls with little or no baseball experience. Tee Ball is geared toward first year players in Kindergarten and 1st grade, as well as a few older pre-K players. Emphasis is on the basics of catching, throwing, hitting, and learning a few basic rules of baseball. Softer balls are used and hitters hit off of a rubber tee with the help of a coach. Generally, players are ready to move to the next level after one year of Tee Ball, but some younger players may need two years of Tee Ball. Teams are formed with a maximum of 15 players per roster. Teams will be expected to play and/or practice 2-3 times per week.
This is specifically designed to provide a foundation and introduction to baseball that is grounded in fundamentals, teamwork, and having fun. Your Tee Ball player will learn the following basics during their season:
Practices and games: Your team will have either have practices or games two to three times a week Monday-Thursday and on Saturdays. There is no way of telling you which days you will practice right now. Spring game schedules are not known at this time. Each division in Cedar Mill Little League has a league coordinator who puts together the practice and game schedule for their respective league. By the week of the coaches meeting, each coordinator will have been given their fields and times they have available and will start making the schedule.
Any special requests or considerations should be noted during registration so that appropriate consideration can be taken when placing players on teams.
